The weighted ballst box at the back of the unit carries 300 lbs. of preinstalled weight. This keeps the Scorpion base stable so it won't budge during net tensioning or during play. The safe and convenient net tensioning design is simple and quick for anyone to use. Though the base units are weighted, they are easily moved by one person. Just tip the upright backward to engage the rolling wheels and push or pull the unit to the desired location. Scorpion's unique weighted base design eliminates the need for a long ground stiffening bar running along the bottom of the net common with competitors systems. This makes Scorpion easy and quick to move and even easier to store. The base units and net can store in an area roughly 48" x 60".
